In 1980, Elizabeth won a local newspaper's "Face of the Year" contest, which gave her a modeling contract with a prestigious London firm. Hurley got attention from media for her appearance in black Versace dress held together with gold safety pins at the premiere of Grant's film Four Weddings and a Funeral in 1994. Hurley's other well known movies include "EdTV (1999)", "Bedazzled (2000)", and "Serving Sara (2002)".
