Laura Prepon is an American actress, best known for her role as Donna Pinciotti on the Fox television series That '70s Show.

Laura Prepon was born on March 7, 1980 in Watchung, New Jersey. Her father, Michael, died in 1994. Her mother's name is Marjorie. Laura is the youngest of five children -- she has a brother, Brad, and three sisters, Danielle, Jocelyn, and Stephanie. She attended Watchung Hills Regional High School. She studied at the Total Theater Lab in New York City, where she appeared in numerous theatrical presentations.

She started studying acting at the young age of 15 as well as dancing - ballet, jazz and modern. She also played soccer and other sports. Before acting became her profession, she was a model, working in Paris, Milan and elsewhere in Europe.

Laura resides in Watchung when not filming in Los Angeles. She loves sneakers and vintage clothes. Her favorite book is 'The Hobbit' by J.R.R. Tolkien.

Her acting experience was limited prior to her audition for That '70's Show. Her first job was a 1995 television commercial for MCI. In 1996 she studied drama with acting teacher Caroline Thomas at Thomas' Total Theatre Lab. In September 1997, she premiered as Chloe on a Levi Strauss-developed show called They Go On, an Internet-based soap opera.

Prior to getting the role on That '70s Show, she also spent some time as a model in Paris, Milan, and Brazil.

She has graced the cover of Maxim magazine and done a TV advertisement for GAP clothing.

Prepon had a voice cameo role as a marine on Halo 2, released in 2004.

Prepon's enthusiasm for poker led to her role as an executive producer of E! Hollywood Hold'em. She also hosted the program's first game.

Prepon's movie Karla has caused a substantial stir in Canada. Karla is based on the true story of Canadian serial killers Karla Homolka and Paul Bernardo.
